Grade 6 English focuses on developing the important skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening, as well as language skills, necessary to be a confident and effective communicator. 听Through a variety of both fiction and non-fiction texts, students will develop critical thinking and analytical skills that are required for success as they move forward through high school and beyond. 听Students will also be challenged to communicate their ideas in a variety of ways and with multiple different purposes and audiences in mind. 听This course is aligned with the Common Core State Standards for 6th grade and uses the My Perspectives curriculum.
