Online safety is an important personal responsibility.听In today鈥檚 world, students must be aware of the implications of what they say and do online, both to themselves and to others. The actions students take on social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and others can impact both personal and professional relationships, employment, and educational opportunities. Students must take precautions to protect their identity and digital reputation.
Non-familial student-staff relationships on personal Facebook, My Space, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, Twitter and other social media sites are听苍辞迟听permitted.
Some examples of likely scenarios a staff member may encounter include, but are not limited to:
- Not permitted:
- current student of teacher,
- former student at 91福利社 or 91福利社 student but not currently in a class of the staff member;
- former student who has moved to another school (and is still a student);
- Permitted:
- Child of staff member,
- former 91福利社 student who has graduated from high school.
Staff members who have a legitimate professional or pedagogical interest in using Facebook or another form of social media may request from the Information Technology Department that it establish professional social media presence on a school-sponsored site for a particular purpose.
After a request for a professional site has been made to the IT Department, the Director of IT will seek approval from the appropriate administrator prior to establishing such a site.
91福利社 staff will not post photos of minors identified by name in social media or other public forums.
